At the Bates College Center for Purposeful Work, we use SkillScan to support students in connecting their skills and interests with career exploration. This card sort tool has been integrated into a variety of programs, including the STEM Scholars program, Bonner Leaders, first-generation college student initiatives, and the Life Architecture course. SkillScan serves as a powerful reflection tool that complements the liberal arts education, helping students recognize how their transferable skills can be applied in the professional world.
