Dr. Michelle Tullier

Dr. Michelle Tullier (pronounced “tool-yay”) has dedicated her career to helping others find meaning and success in their work lives. With 30 years of experience counseling and coaching students and clients from high school and college to all levels of corporate, academic, and non-profit professionals and executives, including C-suite, Michelle is uniquely equipped to help clients find direction and market themselves.

Through her private practice, she specializes in two populations of clients: young adults (college students, recent grads, 20-somethings) carving out their career futures; and mid-career professionals considering a career change for greater fulfillment. She is both an insightful career counselor and practical career coach who can flex from complex ambiguity around career crossroads to the nuts and bolts of writing and editing knockout resumes and LinkedIn profiles that will attract ATSs and humans.

Executive Director of Georgia Tech’s career center. (2014-18)

Coached downsized professionals and executives from major corporations as a career consultant with global outplacement firm Right Management. (2001-14)

Career counselor for students and alumnae of all ages at Barnard College (1990-97) and for professionals in NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. (1991-97)

Former Regional Vice-President with global consulting firm Right Management, overseeing the design and delivery of career transition services across 12 states with up to 100+ direct reports. (2004-14)

Author of nine published books, including the Unofficial Guide to Landing a Job (Wiley & Sons) and the Idiot's Guide to Overcoming Procrastination (Alpha / Simon & Schuster).

Recent journal publications and conference presentations at the state and national level on the interplay of mental health and career development.

Frequent speaker on the 21st-century workplace and its implications for career development, including at the Global Future of Work Summit in Stockholm and National Association of Colleges and Employers.

Michelle provides one- and two-month packages of career counseling and coaching, hourly sessions on an as-needed basis, and document services at flat fee rates. Based in Atlanta, GA and Mid-Coast Maine, she works with clients across the U.S. and abroad via Zoom.
