Dr. Bonnie H. Howell

Dr. Bonnie H. Howell has over 25 years experience in leading people to develop plans for their desired future and to overcome obstacles blocking their ability to achieve those goals.

Prior to developing her own coaching firm, she was CEO of a major regional hospital, taught at two major Universities, worked for a search firm coaching clients and staff as well. She started her own coaching practice a decade ago, and has been adding to the body of knowledge in the coaching field as well as helping organizations and individuals. Given her experience and education, she was able to develop a coaching template which help clients lead themselves out of the inertia/unhappiness that plagues many today, leads to individual unhappiness and organizational stress. Those things together, she believes, are major contributors to innovation and productivity in our country today.

Dr. Howell is a member of the International Coach’s Association and the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. She is a fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives. The highest recognition the organization offers. She has been a long-standing member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women. She has many citations in Who’s WHO PUBLICATIONS, written several books and articles (see below) and was recently named Professional of the Year by the Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England.

She has a bachelor’s degree from the School of Industrial Relations at Cornell University concentrating in organizational behavior. She has an M.P.A from Cornell University's School of Business, and a doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Howell also has a B.S. in, and is certified as a pastoral Counselor. She has been trained in several personality and style assessment tools, which help the client gain valuable personal insight. She is also certified as a Compassion Fatigue counselor and a certified Retirement Life Coach.

Dr. Howell is a talented writer, speaker and community activist. She taught at both Cornell University and New York University. She served as a Director of a community bank in Ithaca New York for over 20 years and has lectured for healthcare, financial and corporate clients across the Country and abroad.

Bonnie specializes in individual and team coaching using a unique coaching model called Conversational Coaching™. Spiritual approaches to teach all of us how to lead our own lives, and provide leadership within the work or family setting. She has been trained and certified in Guided Meditation and Hypnotherapy. These techniques are used within the individual’s counseling program jointly developed and agreed upon with the client early in the relationship.
